Here at Sussex Scaffolding Ltd we provide different types of temporary staircases from traditional timber treads and scaffolding staircases to system staircases including Haki and Layer staircases.
Traditional scaffold staircases are constructed out of scaffolding tubes and fittings to make the frame work and handrails with a timber tread installed for the staircase. This type of system is usually used for one or two storey projects due to the erection timescale and cost.

The Haki and Layher systems are a prefabricated systems made out of steel or aluminium that provide a much better staircase and handrail system as they have pre manufactured stair treads at the correct levels with landings incorporated in the staircase. These systems are used for much larger staircase projects as they can be erected to any height required. Layher and Haki staircase systems can provide you with a complete range of solutions for temporary access from simple internal access to stairway towers for public access .Layher and Haki stairway towers are constructed using standard components (standards, ledgers, diagonals and decks) with only three additional components (stairway stringers, deck locking clamps and handrails).
